Getting Organized

I must admit, when it comes to organizing I am always keen on finding new ideas to make being even more organized possible, and when I stumbled upon some great printables and ideas I just thought that I would have to share!  I printed off this weekly menu planner and this weekly cleaning schedule, framed them with Ikea frames and attached magnets to the back so I could stick them on my fridge!  Here are some more great printables to help you get organized.

Popcorn Garland

I am definitely in the Christmas spirit so I decided to tackle a project this weekend that I have been trying to accomplish for the last two years.  Well my mom has had old fashion popcorn garland on her Christmas tree since I can remember and since she is such an expert in making it she agreed to show me how and I must admit it turned out beautiful.  Below you will find the instructions on how to assemble this masterpiece, Happy crafting!

What you will need…

·         Popcorn
·         Tapestry needle
·         Heavy-duty thread
·         Wooden cranberries

Instructions

1.       Make the popcorn and leave it out for a day or two to get stale, fresh popcorn breaks to easy
2.      Thread the needle with heavy-duty thread, pull the needle to the middle of the thread, bring the ends together and tie a triple knot.
3.      Alternate stringing wooden cranberries and popcorn ( I did four popcorn then one cranberry) making sure to push the needle straight through the center of the popcorn piece, and carefully pull each one to the knotted end of the thread before stringing the next piece
4.      For storing wrap popcorn around cardboard pieces and carefully place in a storage bin

There you have it – old fashion popcorn garland!
